Are you interested in the overnight camp experience, but not old enough yet for the full week program? Little Canyoneers offers the same overnight camp environment and activities, but in a shorter time frame. All programming is adjusted to be appropriate for a younger crowd, as they make new friends, play games with amazing counselors, and experience nature.
Classic Camps 2020
Elementary Camp | July 5-10 | 3rd-6th grade
Junior High Camp | July 12-17 | 6th-9th grade
Senior High Camp | July 19-25 | 9th-Graduated Sr.
These one-week overnight programs have a rich tradition of living and learning in community. "Classic" camps are Elementary camp (Rising 3rd-Rising 9th), Jr. High Camp (Rising 6th-Rising 9th), and Sr. High (Rising 9th-Graduated Seniors).
A leadership team of clergy and lay people from around the Cal-Pac conference create programs for the specific physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the age group at camp. Campers experience traditional favorites, including singing, crafts, skits, games, outdoor recreation, archery, team-building, swimming and more. Jr. and Sr. High Campers can go Mountain Boarding and climb the Adventure Tower.

Natural Wonders Camp
Rising 6th-8th grade
From canyons to sea, campers will be in awe of God's creation during this week-long exploration of the ecosystems located right here in Southern Orange County! Campers begin their week with team building and Mythbuster-styled activities. Campers explore the ecosystems with a visit to the tide pools at Dana Point and a marine mammal cruise. With campfires, explorations, journaling and reflection, as well as stories to learn and share, why wouldn’t you want to come explore nature’s wonders?
All staff members who lead activities are trained and verified in their proficiency. All camps have a Certified Health Supervisor or Registered Nurse on site for the duration of the program. Many camp staff are First Aid & CPR Certified. All lifeguards hold a current LG certification from the Red Cross.
Campers stay in cabins that are grouped by gender. In the event of a gender non-conforming camper or counselor, that person is placed according to the gender they identify with or their biological gender--dependent on which they prefer. Parents of campers in the shared lodging are informed ahead of time and given the option to switch cabins if they desire. There are typically at least two counselors in every cabin.
We maintain a minimum ratio of at least 1 staff person to 7 campers, according to ACA standards. Usually, we operate at a 1:4 ratio. Campers are supervised at all times, according to their age group.
3 well balanced meals and 2 snacks are served every full day of camp. Healthy alternative options are always available, including a deluxe salad bar, soup, and other choices. When you include dietary restriction information on your campers' health forms, our kitchen can prepare appropriate alternatives.
