Summer Camp 2021

Experience a high-energy, life-changing week at one of our six weeks of classic overnight camp. Rising 1st-grade students through recently graduated seniors are invited to jump-start their faith while making lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories at Camp Lazy W Ranch.

2021 Program Calendar & Registration

 

 

A leadership team of clergy and lay people from around the Cal-Pac conference create programs

for the specific physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the age group at camp. Campers experience

traditional favorites, including singing, crafts, skits, games, outdoor recreation, archery,

team-building, swimming and more.Jr. and Sr. High Campers can go Mountain

Boarding and climb the Adventure Tower.

Things to expect in a normal day:

Adventure Camp

Week 1

Preliminary Dates:

June 27 - July 2, 2021

Grades 7 - 10

The adventure camp schedule changes every year, and the activity details for the 2021 program will be AH-MAZING! This small group of up to 12 campers will partake in adventurous activities, fellowship and fun together - as "family".  From camp away from camp to ocean adventures to making your way to the top of the climbing tower - campers will grow tight bonds, and create awesome memories.

Little Canyoneers

Week 1

Preliminary Dates:

June 27 - July 2, 2021

Grades 1 - 3

Are you interested in the overnight camp experience, but not old enough yet for the full week program? This camp offers the same overnight camp environment and activities, but in a shorter time frame. All programming is adjusted to be appropriate for a younger crowd, as they make new friends, play games with amazing counselors, and experience nature.​

Elementary Camp

Week 2

Preliminary Dates:

July 11 - 16, 2021

Grades 3 - 6

Along with hanging out with some amazing counselors,   campers will spend time in nature, roasting marshmallows at the campfire, and taking a splash in the pool.  Special activities like a talent show along with worship, music, family groups and hikes add to the experience of camp. All this while learning how exciting a personal relationship with Jesus Christ really is.

Junior High Camp

Week 3

Preliminary Dates:

July 18 - 23, 2021

Grades 6 - 9  

Campers enjoy awesome activities, incredible counselors and opportunities to grow in Christ.  Whether in our amazing cabins, creekside activities, evening campfire and outdoor space, you can always find a way to cool off from the heat.  In between family groups, campers experience a wonderful array of worship, music, food, nature, and other activities

 

Senior High Camp

Week 4

Preliminary Dates:

July 25 - 31, 2021

Grades 9 - Graduating Senior

Designed for 9th – 12th grade students, this camp features counselors any high schooler will actually find interesting, along with amazing dance parties, talent shows, and an opportunity to grow closer to God.  At this camp, we say things like campfire, team building, and pool dunking. So that when your high schooler leaves, they’ll say things like, “God is great!” ...or our personal favorite, “Best experience of my life!”

Creekside

Nature Camp 

Week 5

Preliminary Dates:

August 1  - 6, 2021

Grades 6 - 8 

From canyons to sea, campers will be in awe of God's creation 

during this week-long exploration of the ecosystems located right here in Southern Orange County! Campers begin their week with team building and Mythbuster-styled activities. Campers explore the ecosystems with a visit to the tide pools at Dana Point and a marine mammal cruise. With campfires, explorations, journaling and reflection, as well as stories to learn and share, why wouldn’t you want to come explore nature’s wonders?

Lazy W Ranch is an ACA-accredited camp and ministry privately owned and operated by

the California-Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church.
