2020 Updates

October 14, 2020

Lazy W Ranch remains closed to organized camping which includes overnight stays of more than 2 families, until further notice.  Despite the fact this year has not gone as expected, we are thankful for our Lazy W family's incredible support.  While we anticipate reopening in the near future, we are blessed to have this time to continue making significant improvements for you for your next event.  We have many service opportunities for work teams, youth, college students, and families.  Please come and join us, and help Lazy W Ranch make necessary improvements so future generations can enjoy all this wonderful camp has to offer.  We are beyond grateful to the volunteers who have offered assistance, yet there's still much to be done.

ALMOST OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Are you ready to experience camp again??  Well, we are!  Our cabins and tent camping are now open on a limited basis!  There is currently no Food Service provided and no organized camping events, but come experience camp like never before!  Give us a call and make a reservation.  Better yet, come out and volunteer, and we'll provide the bed for a night or two. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

VOLUNTEER HELP WANTED!

Do you love Lazy W Ranch?  Do you want to serve?  Do you want to spend a couple days and nights at camp?  We are happy to announce camp is OPEN to individuals and families with a desire to volunteer!  Without staff to maintain facilities during the pandemic closure since March, there is much to be done!  There are leaves to be raked, woodpecker holes to be filled, steps and walkways to be swept, painting, small repairs and general cleaning.  If desired, overnight stays in one of our cabins or tent camping will be provided meeting social distancing guidelines for each volunteer.  Food service will not be provided but we have the facilities to accommodate basic cooking needs.  Please contact us at the Lazy W office to make your reservation and be a volunteer today!

COVID-19 Update:

The health and safety of our Lazy W Ranch community – and beyond – is our top priority. In accordance with the State of California and Orange County leading practices regarding social distancing, the camp remains closed to overnight stays until further notice. This includes the "Household Holiday", Summer Camp, RV/Tent Camping, and Single or Family use of any camp facilities.  During this time, our staff continues to work remotely while providing uninterrupted service.

Los Pinos Trail Access:

Lazy W Ranch is currently closed to Residents only who live on site.  The Cleveland National Forest temporary closure due to fire danger. This currently limits any access to trails including the Los Pinos Trail. Effective September 7, 2020 until further notice, the Forest is closed. 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time on Monday, September 7, 2020, and will be re-evaluated daily as conditions change.
